Our return policy and process for non-firearm items. Firearms are final sale once Form 4473 is initiated.

Return Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Most non-firearm items can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund or exchange, provided they meet our return conditions.

Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, items must:

  • Be in new, unused condition
  • Include all original packaging, tags, and accessories
  • Not show signs of wear or use
  • Include proof of purchase (receipt or order number)

Non-Returnable Items

  • Firearms: Final sale once ATF Form 4473 has been initiated (federal law)
  • Ammunition: Cannot be returned for safety reasons
  • Items marked as final sale at time of purchase
  • Items showing signs of use or missing original packaging
Return Process

Follow these steps to initiate a return:

Step 1 — Contact Us

Call (970) 344-7213 or email returns@blackhawkltd.com. We'll issue a Return Authorization (RA) number. Do not ship without an RA number.

Step 2 — Package Securely

Pack the item in its original packaging with all accessories, manuals, and tags. Include your RA number inside the package.

Step 3 — Ship the Return

Ship to: Blackhawk Outfitters Ltd., ATTN: Returns Dept, 110 16th St. Suite 1460, Denver, CO 80202. Write your RA number on the outside of the box.

Step 4 — Inspection & Refund

We inspect returns within 2 business days of receipt. Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days.

Return Shipping Costs

  • Customer's expense: Returns due to change of mind or wrong item ordered
  • Our expense: If we sent the wrong item or the item arrived defective or damaged
Firearms — Final Sale

Federal Law Notice: Once ATF Form 4473 has been initiated, firearm sales are final under federal law. Firearms cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged after this point.

If a firearm arrives with a manufacturer defect, contact us within 48 hours. We will work with the manufacturer on warranty claims. This does not constitute a return — it is a warranty process coordinated between you, us, and the manufacturer.

If a firearm was materially misrepresented in its listing, contact us immediately. We will investigate and, if warranted, work with our distributor on a resolution. Each situation is evaluated individually per ATF guidelines.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Card: 7–10 business days to appear on your statement
  • Cash/Check Purchases: Store credit or check mailed within 7–10 business days

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong item, defective item).

GunTab payment processing fees (2.5%) are non-refundable. This is a GunTab policy, not a Blackhawk Outfitters Ltd. policy. Your card refund will reflect the original charge minus the processing fee.
